I've been meaning to take a facebook break, but maybe I am being to hard on myself. So was wondering what others think is a reasonable amount of time to be on fb? I feel like an hour a day is cool.

And how many log ins? 2 is good for me. Of course having a hard time sticking to that sometimes, especially if I am alone at night. If only I had more than 4 friends that still use LJ.
I was introduced to tumblr and am thinking that could be fun and it would definitely be pretty.

Apparently it can block sites you don't want to visit, or just during certain time periods. Although having a laptop with a battery that doesn't hold a charge also works.

please share any hydro quebec  horror stories.!Dealing with some unbelievable crap that I will write about once this gets resolved. I imagine they do awful things everyday since people have to put up with their messed up ways. Sometimes I think good customer service in Quebec is a dream that will never be a realitiy.

 but better late then never. I really can't tear myself away from this website. It's one of the biggest AHA moments I've ever had. I am especially enjoying the stories from other parents. Not everything fits him perfectly but  it's very validating because I always felt something was different and I wasn't just spoiling him or giving into him.

Does anyone else know about sensory integration disorders? This is overwhelming right now, but want to read anything and everything.

If you don't know about flylady, I love her and the sink reflections book. LOVE IT. Don't necessarily agree with parts of it, but it has worked for me before and i've picked up some good habits. I have kind of finished the babysteps twice but I need to get back on track again.
I have kind of been trying to fly lately,  some friends have a flying while muslim group on fb and it would be amazing to finish this all in time for Ramadan. So whose with me? I did it with a group of friends before and it was so helpful, but none of them lived closed by.
It would  be super cool if I had some montreal friends that would be down.

It's not that misery loves company, but buddies help me stay on track.

 So I woke up feeling amazing! I still can't believe how good I feel. None of the pain I have everyday. And just from sleeping on my left side. I had my midwife appointment yesterday and I was telling her about all the pain I get and she suggested I sleep on my left instead of right, and it seems to have worked. I feel normal and slept so well! Plus she told me not to drink the raspberry tea anymore. My uterus does not need toning at this present time. Anyway waking up feeling good makes such a difference, forgot what that felt like.

 What's a game that everyone should have?

I want to buy a game for someone who loves apples to apples and trivia type games. I am thinking of buying him bananagrams, but not sure if he'd be that into it. I don't really consider that a word game since it's more about speed. but who knows. So, I turn to those that love to play games, what game would you buy for someone who loves games? I guess party type games, no strategy games. Thanks for all suggestions, hopefully i'll pick up something tonight or tomorrow.





I have said this before, but it's worth saying again, I love shopping in the USA. For real. Judge me if you want, but I can't help it.
I was in best buy at 10:30pm last night. Old navy is open till midnight almost every night this week, toys r us open 24 hrs every night.
I always get so pleasantly surprised. Like every time I come here over the winter holidays, it's like I am learning this for the first time.
No, I am not a shopaholic, it's just my clock isn't the same as normal store hours so it's nice to see things open late. Plus I come from a place where you can't even find a supermarket that's open past 10pm, so this truly is amazing.

Do you get it? I guess it can also be called going on a trip anxiousness, but I guess I find packing for the kids the most stressful part. 

What are your packing rules? 

I read somewhere once that if  you are going somewhere that has washing machine access, you should pack one underwear for every 2 days you will be there, and one pair of pants for every 2 days, etc. I guess that rule works fine for adults, but with kids? They sometimes manage to need 2 clothing changes in the drive to where ever we are going.

I've been doing pretty good the last few trips but for some reason( maybe the winter sweatshirts), I can't close their suitcase. Not sure if I packed to much and I'd love to hear how you decide what to pack.

Naeem has 2 cords, 2 pairs or jeans,  and 2 pairs of sweats packed( mind you he'll probably get clothes from his grandma)6 t-shirts, 2 collared shirts, 2 hoodies.

Baha, well he probably has something similar, plus he has clothes at his grand-ma's( not sure what though)

Is that reasonable or can I afford to drop some of it. Seriously, they somehow manage to come back with so  much more and usually wonder why I packed so much....

 I regularly google D'Angelo just to see the progress on his upcoming album and.... I must have googled in the last 2 weeks and nothing, but tonight, trying to catch up on my internet stuff, shows, etc look what I found in his wiki.........He went into the studio the end of august and will be done in 3 months!!!(the info is at the bottom of musical career section) 
 I have been feeling that 2010 will be the year of the album. There were 5 yrs between the first 2, then between the next. I hope not 15 between the next. Plus there is this remake album for sale No one does remakes better, I would dare say that many of his remakes are better than the orlginals
